Carine Mouna Chokote, MSN, RN, is a nurse, caregiver, and storyteller whose work is deeply rooted in compassion, resilience, and faith. Drawing from lived experience, she brings a powerful voice to themes of grief, immigration, identity, and emotional healing. With a background in healthcare and years of supporting individuals through vulnerability and recovery, she offers a unique perspective on pain and purpose.
Her academic foundation includes a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and professional licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), reflecting a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient care, and evidence-based practice.
Throughout her career, she has built experience in mental health and caregiving roles, supporting individuals and families through complex emotional and medical challenges.
Her debut memoir, Beautiful Scars, is a heartfelt account of growing up through loss, responsibility, and transformation, revealing how faith and endurance can shape even the most difficult life experiences into meaning and strength.
